Brights and checkerboard nails

Saw some checkerboard nails on Pinterest the other day and thought I’d mix it in with some bright pink!

I used tape to create the checkerboard effect.

Summery flowery nails

So as we haven’t seen any sun here in London for a while (a very long while!) even though it’s meant to be spring/summer, I wanted to bring summer to my nails! So I added on some flowers and and a deckchair-inspired stripe design on my ring finger – summer has arrived! (Well, on my nails at least). Oh, and excuse my manky-looking thumb in the pics, I have a very bad habit of chewing it :-/Flower nails

Marbled nails

Saw this pattern whilst browsing on Pinterest and thought i’d give it a go – an easy way to create some colourful, summery nails! I applied a coat of white polish and let it dry, then on the second coat of white while it was still wet applied dots of pink and purple. Using an orange stick I then swirled the colours together for a marbled effect. I think this looks better with less ‘swirling’ – I did more on the other hand and it started to look a bit messy!

Peacock nails

I really love peacock colours and I wanted to create some nail art around this…so here is my first take on peacock nails. I think there will be moreĀ variantsĀ on this in later posts as I don’t feel I’ve cracked it yet…
